UX Design Specialties

Although I am always open to taking on new design projects, I consider the following areas to be my specialties:

  • Dashboards (Business Data Visualizations, Tufte-style graphs)
  • Social Networking (creating viral network growth & a vibrant on-line community)

I come from a solid hands-on software engineering background and have a good practical understanding of how long it takes to develop and implement the functionality I design.  Although I no longer do any coding, technical expertise often allows me to suggest design alternatives which are easier and cheaper to implement.  I specialize in the following platforms:

I charge a project rate determined by three factors:

  • How long the engagement lasts
  • The types of services I am providing
  • The types of deliverables I am creating
