About
I am a freelance UX Designer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am passionate about designing intuitive and resourceful user interfaces for finding, multi-step workflows, and business dashboards for the Web, Flex and iPhone/mobile.
I can be reached at Greg@DesignCaffeine.com.
My Expertise
I enjoyed improving software usefulness and usability for over 11 years, designing, researching, and developing applications for social networking, e-commerce, biotechnology, real estate, and banking companies. I have extensive hands-on software engineering experience, which I think makes me a better designer, because I have excellent understanding of how much effort (and money) designs take to build and deploy. I invented the Experience Partners approach that involves users as partners in a design process and produces intuitive and resourceful application designs.
Articles
I published over 20 articles in JavaWorld, ASP.NETPro, and UXmatters. I author a monthly column called Search Matters on UXMatters.com.
Talks
I taught a workshop on participatory design at IA Summit 2008, in Miami, Florida, and presented at the 2009 NetSquared Year 4 (N2Y4) Conference. My next presentation will be at IA Summit April 2010 in Phoenix, AZ.
